Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data LOGIVERSE PRIVATE LIMITED ("the Company", "we") processes in LogiERP and the LogiERP Driver application, why, and what rights you have. It is written to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
1. Whose data, and what
Employees and users
- Identity and contact details, role, and account credentials (passwords are stored only as salted hashes).
- Activity records: sign-ins, actions taken in the System, approvals given.
- HR records where applicable: attendance, salary, bank account for payment, statutory identifiers needed for payroll compliance.
Drivers
- Identity, contact, photograph, driving licence details and expiry, address.
- Bank account and UPI details, for paying advances, expenses and salary.
- Attendance including check-in time and check-in location, trip assignments, expenses claimed, documents uploaded (proof of delivery, receipts).
- Device information needed to secure the driver app (registered device, app version). Fingerprint or face unlock happens entirely on the driver's own device — biometric data never reaches our servers.
Vehicles (which can reveal driver location)
- GPS position, speed, odometer, fuel level and fault alerts from vehicle telematics, collected continuously while the tracker operates.
Partners, customers and vendors
- Business contact details, tax identifiers (PAN, GSTIN), bank details for settlement, and transaction records.
2. Why we process it
- Running the business: planning and tracking trips, paying drivers and partners correctly, managing the fleet, billing customers.
- Safety and security of vehicles and goods: GPS tracking exists to know where the trucks and cargo are, to detect breakdowns and route deviations, and to keep drivers safe — not to profile anyone's private life.
- Legal compliance: tax, payroll, motor vehicle and accounting law require us to keep many of these records.
- Security of the System: activity logs and device checks protect everyone's data.
3. Consent and notice
Drivers are informed of GPS-based attendance and vehicle tracking at onboarding and consent within the driver application. Employees are informed through their terms of engagement. Where processing rests on legal obligation, consent is not the basis and refusal cannot remove the obligation — but we will always tell you what is collected.
4. Who sees it
- Within the Company, access follows roles — a user sees only what their role enables.
- Transport partners see the data of their own vehicles, drivers and settlements — never another partner's.
- Customers see the status of their own consignments.
- Statutory bodies receive what the law requires (tax filings, payroll filings).
- Service providers that host or support the System process data under our instructions. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Retention
Business and accounting records are retained as long as Indian law requires (generally eight years for books of account). GPS traces are retained for operational analysis and then summarised; raw traces are not kept longer than needed. Accounts of people who leave are deactivated, not deleted, because the records they created remain part of the books.
6. Security
Data is held on servers in a hardened environment with encrypted transport (HTTPS), role-based access, hashed passwords, device-bound driver sessions, and activity logging. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting you occurs we will inform you and the authorities as the DPDP Act requires.
7. Your rights
You may ask what personal data of yours the System holds, ask for corrections, and raise a grievance. Write to admin@logiverse.in — the grievance officer will respond. If unsatisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Children
The System is a workplace tool and is not used by, or directed at, children.
